"It's intuitive": Why digital product studio Donatix chose Pause

Apr 18, 2023

Donatix is a rapidly growing digital product studio that helps organisations create web and mobile apps. They work with clients big and small across industries like healthcare, finance and travel. They’re one of Bulgaria’s top app and web development companies, and place great emphasis on a healthy culture and flexible benefits like remote work and flat hierarchies.

Before discovering Pause, Donatix was using basic spreadsheets for absence management. However, their leave policy was such that they grant team members additional days off for each year they stay at Donatix, which was hard to keep track of on spreadsheets for a team their size. They also had to keep asking their managers how many leave days they had left before planning vacations, which was growing cumbersome.

These problems meant they needed to do away with hacky approaches and find an absence management tool that integrated with Slack, stat.

Donatix evaluated a few other absence management tools but, in the end, they decided to choose Pause. They had multiple reasons to do that, according to co-founder Venelin Petrov:

"What made us choose Pause is that it’s more intuitive and better to look at. It gives us a more powerful Slack integration.

In the other options, we could only see who was on leave and notify channels. But Pause also allows us to request leave and check balances. Since our team uses Slack a lot, this was something that just fits perfectly.

We will continue to use the tool, it helps us!"

Pause is dedicated to helping rapidly growing organisations manage time off in a no-nonsense manner and without burning holes in any pockets.
